For once, i agree with you 100%. Internet buddies.
Winner!! Pagid/Textar are generally BMW brake pads/discs. They just come in a different box, without the BMW tax :)
Also, if your pads were as knackered as BMW say, your brake pad warning light would have come on!!
ECP discount code is...
Thats the thing with BMW's they are pricey to maintain at the main dealers, but for DIYer's parts are easily available from ECP/GSF. Much easier to work on than VAG's as well in my experience!!
Is that using the -25% code thats usually floating around as well? Fitting would be peanuts though, not exactly rocket science to change discs/pads, so just find a local member with a toolkit/brain and give them some beer, or find a specialist.
They're stil dry humping you lol.
Get the car back, sign their disclaimer, buy the parts yourself (from ECP/GSF/Cotswold BMW or anything of the other dealers that do discount) then get someone to fit them for you!!!
Yes, check the brakes yourself, if they are knackered, get them changed.
Last time i went to a main VW dealer they told me i needed new front discs/pads.
I had only replaced them 3 months previously ...
Not really, bar the usual RTAB's, FCAB's etc. But the headgasket cost £1500 lol, id also want the Vanos bolts renewing as a preventative measure (about £250 at a specialist iirc), then there's the subframe as well ... my main concern was if something did go properly bang, ie engine/box, even 2nd...
Or find another £3k and have this: http://www.approved.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bmwauc/details/0,,1156___ask-20%40adm-

I know its new vs 2nd hand, but seriously, you'd have to be mad to buy a brand new 200 instead of a 6 month old M135i ...

Reading between the lines, i think when the proper test comes out, the Clio RS will have lost its crown.
lol, not surprising, think i had it on 'full stiff' - would certainly have made it ummm, interesting with so much weight removed ...
Which judging by the pictures, you quickly found out ;)
Id agree with all of that tbh, he was driving like a plonker, so the binning was inevitable.
Re: the Destruction Derby's, i did one in 2004 in the Rallye, never again lol.
Terrible shame for the owner of the Meg though, if its like 99% of RenaultSport, its probably on finance as well :dapprove:
From memory, the 197 didnt have Recaros from launch either, they were then added later on. No doubt they will be added in the 200 EDT LotusF1KimileavemealoneIknowwhatiamdoing edition in 2014.
No Brembo's, but does that really matter when the OEM brakes are reputedly AP's, ie just as good?
lol, i did that at Bedford in a sick Trophy with dodgy cam timing ;)
Dont forget Phil that your ITB's were 2nd hand! Anyways, Nick knows your setup very well, in fact he blasted down the motorway next to Guppy's shed when we bought it iirc. Sounded lovely, but from memory, it couldnt keep up...
Not sure, will find out tomoz - was yours inner/outer?
Looking around i can get front outer, rear inner & rear outer from ECP/GSF, but front inner is VW only :(
This car simply keeps giving!! Bills lol.
Removing coilovers on Saturday and notice that the passenger inner cv joint is a bit loose (might be the cause of the slight rattle), then when dropping the hub on the drivers side to remove the strut the drivers side cv joint pulls out. Seems that the...
