Just do a search on ebay - quite a few on there!
Its only £79.99 at Jessops too. I was going to go for the Sigma 30mm HSM but its over £200, and for a lens that I won't use that much is was overkill!!
Andi-b, I really wanted a lens with VR, especially for long focal lengths, not sure if sigma actually do a 28-300 with HSM either.
Tigger, the 18-55 + 55-200 VR is an excellent and much cheaper option than the 18-200 VR. But the all round versatility and image quality of the 18-200 is what made...
Didn't perform as well as I expected, I may have got a bad copy but in lower light it did struggle to produce anything half decent. Much prefer the 18-200 Nikon, its taken some cracking shots so far. Soon to be joined by a secondary lens! Then thats it for me for a while!
Well, I think my D40 did very well on Saturday, the weather was cloudy and was a little worried that the light + not so quick lens would come in to play.
Overall I think the pictures came out well, this is the first time I have ever panned moving subjects.
Opinions/Constructive Criticism...
Cheers for the advice - just uploading my pics from the Cross Country Horse event now, soon as they are done opinions on pics and lens would be great.
I think the 10-20 may well be the next option!!
Yeah - i though i might be!!
Might just try to get the best out of my 18-200 and get a 10-20 or something as I will be able to get very close to the jumps at some events.
I may be starting to do a few horse shows this year and need to get some good action shots. My 18-200 took some excellent shots this weekend (which will upload later) but ideally I need a lens I can use just for sport, will not be needed for anything else.
Here is where the trouble starts...
