I'll be picking myself up another Imac soon for video editing.
Check the prices in PC world agains the education link.... http://store.apple.com/uk_edu_5000828/buy-mac/imac a lot of people use that to save money, I'm not too sure if it is still running but they also had a 10 month interest free...
Have you done a trackday in your '5 yet sbridgey ? when I eventually pick one up I fancy trying a track day and some drift days at oulton so was wondering what you think of it compared to your 172?
After having a 318 myself I would stay clear, mine wasn't reliable at all and I can imagine it wouldn't be much fun on a track day, drift day maybe but all out track I think your other suggestions are far better.
In my opinion the mx5 or a 1*2 would both be very good choices, both have pro's...

I can't help with specs etc but try having a quick flick through: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?691585-The-Power-PC-Thread-f*ck-off-consoles/page58
May be worth an ask in that thread too :)
Those wheels will look a whole lot better when lowered as you want, you shouldn't get many issues going down 60mm, I can't remember having any issues on my clio that was 60mm lower.
Good effort so far :)
Knuckles outstanding work with the old man as usual!
