Can I be a cheeky sod and ask if anyone who is going to CSF will have clip so I can fully turn off the air bag light on track car?
Been meaning to have it done for a while just thought with so many people from here going someone may have it there save me trailering to a garage?
Happy to pay in...
Is probably just me mate being anal as fook.
Drove it round a bit and the brake bite was perfectly fine. Plus I’ve got work boots on at the moment so I’m probably standing on it without realising.
Will still bleed once more just to be on the side of caution as I’ve got plenty fluid.
Yeah plenty pad left.
Just got my mate to send me a vid of his travel and it does look very similar. Mine possibly has slightly more travel if anything.
I’ll bleed again and see as there is probably some more air after skidding about and getting the ABS working.
Done a few skids after work on the car park on gravel which has let the abs kick in.
Pedal solid with engine off, a little spongey with engine on.
Not certain it’s not exactly as it was before but didn’t have anything to compare with beforehand so I will re-bleed just in case.
I’m a little...
After camping for a night at Blyton a couple of weekends ago I am regretting choosing to camp again at Anglesey 🙈
Might revert to sleeping in the back of the X5 with an airbed.
Yes, all good with engine on.
Need to take it down the road to confirm all is perfect but seems to be back to how it was before.
Do I need to activate ABS to be certain?
Bled the brakes just now.
Rear left bled fine, moved onto rear right and couldn’t get a pedal.
Moved onto front left and still had no pedal to start with. Kept pumping and eventually a huge air pocket came out and it bled fine.
All bled up nicely after that and back to a solid pedal.
Will...
All on and fitted this morning. Easy job to be fair with the full axle kit.
Realised I should have started at the hardline end so the new braided lines can pass through the existing holes where the flexis used to be.
I’ve only finger tightened it all at the moment anyway so will re-route back...
Braided axle hoses turned up today. Very fast delivery and had them in the fastest colour.
Is it just a case of screwing and unscrewing now?
Do I need to be keeping any washers or anything important from the existing lines?
Worried about air in the ABS pump now as I have lost a lot of fluid, if not all.
If I were to bleed normally using old sloop foot on pedal and I got a firm pedal, does this mean all is good?
Failing that, if I can’t get a pedal does this mean that there is air in the pump and I will need clip...
Presuming the original lines seem to hold up ok then apart from around the rear beam area?
Just checked from the abs pump and they all look mint to be fair
That makes sense. I can visualise it now lol. As it’s not up on a ramp and everything is upside down when you are lying underneath it’s not as clear.
Out of interest, is there a kit that takes you from abs pump to front braided lines, in braided?
Just thinking outside the box to whether I can...
Have a couple of photos from the photographer from the day but this one was my favourite.
As the tyres were crap I noticed the cameraman on the wiggler so went full send for a few laps to get some air time.
That’s the plan with the mattress.
I think the issue I had is that I had a double sleeping bag so there was to much air in there to get warm.
I was folding in half, upside down, head in, head out. Literally the worst nights sleep I’ve had in ages lol.
I’m going to sleep in the back of the x5 I reckon. No way am I EVER sleeping in a tent again. 2 duvets, hot water bottle, cushions off the sofa, I’m going to town with it.
Luckily I booked today off work so all I’ve done is sleep 😂
Blyton 09/06.
An epic evening on Saturday night camping over in prep for Sundays track day. 3 of us camped over, 1 in a camper (definitely the best choice) and two of us tenting.
Got to the circuit around 5pm and caught the last few keen beans going around track.
My mate (who owns my previous...
They are but if I can replace the whole shebang of lines, ignoring what is there already before I double check what else would I need?
Ideally from BRT so I can order it all in one go.
Correct.
Right behind one of the clips that runs across the rear beam.
Had just put AR1 on to go full send after using an old set of NS2R which were absolutely horrendous but epic fun at the same time. Tyre squeal was horrific!
Only noticed the leak when I put the jack under to swap the...
Just had a brake line split and end my day at Blyton early.
Which kit do I need to get to replace the whole rear hard lines with braided?
I have braided hoses to the caliper already and they are fine.
I’ve bought some vinyl wrap for my track 172 but I’m just not getting the time to have a bash at it myself.
Is there anyone on here who could do the front and rear bumper, side wings and rear quarters if I supply the material which I already have.
Really want to get it done but wrap shops...
