Rob sorry im a little confused, what set up are you going for? the Alpine MRV F345? That puts 300wrms to the bridged channel, Off the top of my head the 10" would be about 250wrms (ive never used 10's, so dont know a huge amount about them) In which case you "should" be ok, but its probably best...

First off Rob22: That sub you suggested would be fine but is a 10" version, I personally find that budget 10s dont have the ability to drop as low as i like. Id go for a 12". You do realise both of you are going to have to budget in for a wiring...

I think the problem people have when slating it, is they are comparing it to equipment often 3 times the price.

Firts off there are many ways to do what you are trying to achieve.
Using One Amp
You could buy a 5 channel Amp, run your front speakers off channel 1 and 2, your rear speakers off channel 3 and 4 and then use channel 5 for your sub.
