Try some tar and glue remover. If left on long enough (30 mins) it will start to soften paint.

Put it on the drivers armrest or the rear transmission tunnel, let it off and s**t the doors. Lock the car. Don't open it for 12 hours. I did my Impreza back in November/December and it still smells of it!

Don't bother 'tracking it'. You won't use it enough. Just drive it until it breaks and then strip it for bits. If you decide to modify it or tidy it up, you'll spend too much on it.
