Chris Harris - Collecting Cars Podcast

Absolutely brilliant. Harry's one was ace. Hearing how he got Evo magazine off the ground was fascinating. Tiff was ok but he only has 2 stories which he tells every time he's been on camera since 1993. Did you know he was in a formula one race ??? David Clark was good.. McLaren stories...

Back to the old skool! Bucket and sponge...

What ? Do you want recommendations for buckets and sponges ? Or "the best" things money can buy to clean your car ? As far as I'm aware, you live in a flat... Do you have an outside tap ? Got a pressure washer ? Do you have a polisher, Rotary or DA ? Do you have anything at all or are...

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

You've still got the same signal coming from the HU tho... Yes, possibly slightly better but it's really not worth it. A 10/13cm paper cone on the door card isn't ever going to be ideal. Set the LPF to 80 or 100hz and see if it sounds clearer when a bit louder.. Obviously that means there'll...

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

Yeah the tweeters are in the dash top. Woofers (if you can call them that) are by the carpet so they'll be no good with high end stuff firing at your ankles.

    172 Cup Speaker Upgrade

Play around with the HPF/LPF and stop the bass to the fronts. Get a sub, job jobbed. Underseat or in the boot. The standard fronts are already a separate tweeter and woofer, without the heavy low end stuff going through them they will go loud enough to make you uncomfy before they distort.

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Open hose, very slow so minimum splashing... Wash the water away from top to bottom. Have a look on YT I'm sure there'll be vids showing you. Be amazed how "dry" you can get a car with water. Obvious things such as not washing your black car in bright hot sunlight helps too...

@djp66 .. Happy to give you some help, if we're ever out of this lockadile lark again. Been pretending I know what I'm doing for at least a decade so must have figured something out by now :ROFLMAO: Just gave my Bini a wash, light correction (bonnet only) and then whole car had a coat of...

    Anyone going on long drives?

Why ?! Far better to leave it for a month than do that. Oil takes 15+ mins of driving to get near operating temp. All you'll be doing is filling the exhaust with water.. blah blah.... If you're concerned it won't start, take the battery off. Make sure you can get in to the car again without...

    C4 gone wrong

It won't just wash off.. that's the point... How did you prepare the surfaces ? This would have been key. Any pics of issues etc ? Someone like @gally might have some good ideas. If it was the paintwork, you could probably machine polish it off but being plastic.........

    New daily - E91 330d

I'd probably start with some tripple or very mild polish on a microfibre cloth and just do it by hand, if it's clean and they're just leftover marks.
