When I wrote my 172Cup off in 2009...my airbags never went off either. Car was written off...and front end (which had recently been resprayed and looking immaculate) was ruined.
182proper, Trophy or 172 Cup...dont be doing half measures on a 182 Cup. If you still want Climate Control...some of the later 172Cups came with it as an option. Best colour (Mondiale Blue), Best Wheels (Turinis)...no toys (so less to fail!)
There are guides on here (for members only)...Pollen filter change was one of the first I did. Its definitely worth the £12...if you use it once and save 1 hours labour...its more than paid for the membership price in one go. :)
The 21mm swan neck was a pain in the arse to get hold of from a shop as Halfords and other factors didnt have them. So went online and ordered it. The rest of kit is in most standard kits.
£10 to remove, refit and balance tyres per wheel. You're better getting someone you know to do it Chris...they are power coaters, not tyre specialists...so best get someone in the know to do it.
They don't do wet paint...only powdercoating. As the centre cap is plastic, it can't be powdercoated as they need heat and plastic melts!
You would need to do it yourself. Jawal in Smethwick is probably the best bet around the Brum area and they can give you a semi decent match (from their eye)...
