Any idea what the offset of things like the 15" 172 style or Dynamique wheels are?

Been looking for some 15" track wheels but nice ones are hard to find so I'm tempted by some cheap stock 15s of another non sport clio, but details are hard to find. There's some from a mk2 that look like smaller stock 172 wheels, but they seem to be 6.5J not 7? Does this affect tyres? Can you...

I assume because the fronts are dead and the rears are fine. No point changing all 4 for the sake of 10mm width on the front.

Its not that uncommon for the DVLA to have details wrong for numerous reasons. Its not an issue if its things like colour, but for CO2 it affects Tax.

On the DVLA website it says you can just send them your V5 and a letter detailing what is incorrect and have it amended. For things like colour, etc this is fine, you tell them what it is and they change it. But for CO2 figures, which affect how much Tax I pay, I assume they would need some...

My V5 says 273, thats the problem. Doing a Vehicle Search on other 172 plates says 194 is the correct figure, but how do I 'prove' this to the DVLA?

Anyone know where I can find some official Clio 172 CO2 figures that the DVLA will take as evidence? My car is incorrectly recorded on the DVLA website as producing 273g/km CO2, which is stupidly high, and is causing me to pay to much Tax. I think the figure is around 190ish, but I cant find any...

Yeah, they will pay out if he hits someone, but its the fact my insurance is going up not down because of people like him that's the problem.

Is there any way to find out what company a car is insured with? I'm sure a little email to them with all the details would be enough for them to cancel his policy. Although, would he then just drive without any insurance at all?

So let me get this right: A Clio 172 in Blue with registration plate L11 PEX and owned by a guy called Luke living in the Darlington area has a non standard Turbo fitted that is not declared making the insurance in the car fraudulent? Did I mention I sit next to a Special Constable at work?

Feel for us 172 owners :( My car has depreciated 50% in the 12 months I have owned it. Blame high fuel prices and massive hikes in insurance costs.
