February 2013
Been quite a quiet start to the year for little red. Been an absolute dream to drive and a good steed getting me through the mental amount of snow that fell last month, not seen that sort of snow drifts before. Over 6ft on back roads.
Seeing as the forecast was for a dry weekend...
Dampers will be straight swap as long as they're cup ones. Standard trophy springs will go on dampers no worries too.
Only difference you'll notice is that when fitting the cup dampers that the body of the dampers is a bit taller than the Sachs so need some force to push the hub down to put...
Both of the sets I've had and used are part number 5.81260K.
As Ash mentioned lower bolt needs to be slackened off so that it will swivel in and out for camber adjustment. Just enough so it will move when the lobe of the camber bolt presses against hub
I'll have look at mine tomorrow with part numbers if you like, got two sets of them at Mam and Dads farm.
Know one set I had when you turned it in position you'd see the hub moving in and out with the cam part of bolt.
It's all pretty simple really just bit of a pain/fiddly with getting the metal rings together with the original plastic housing inside (have to sand/file down to the tolerances given) so trial and error but all easy.
Might not need the orange insert thing (instructions cover it) but if you...
Great sounding plans :) You wont regret the Yanoo kit, drop me a pm if you have any issues or look at my project thread (Trophy 185 story). Did try to cover the process as detailed as I could in there.
Work gets scrap alloy wheels in for melting down for casting. Never seen one at work in 3+ years of receiving scrap alloy wheels but today I saw this beauty lol.
Not sure if it's a trophy or a cup one due to thickness of the powder coating (doesn't really matter as it's just a bit damaged) but...
Welcome to the Trophy club :)
Great additions to gearbox imo is the yanoo stiff shift kit and also the vibratecknic mounts. The latter might be too much though but the yanoo kit is superb.
Will look awesome with those seat in :) Unless you're in need of the cash from selling the standard recaros I'd keep them (hears everyone who wanted to buy them telling me to shut up lol)
You must have smashed a thousand mirrors and walked under a dozen ladders in a past life ;) Good that things are getting found and rectified now and soon you'll have a very healthy Trophy :)
Hope all goes well and you'll get it back soon, atleast it's in good hands now :)
Paint on dials flaked off in parts for me too, got new (second hand) one to fit but it looks like a pain in a** to do.
Wheels look perfect in anthracite.
As Knuckles mentioned try anthracite Trophy stickers made up and put them over the original ones, maybe getting them slightly oversized (+1/2mm) in thickness of font to make sure it covers the silver, just a though obviously that could always be taken off if...
