So, the chapter and indeed project ends here. All last week I was in discussions with a chap to buy the Clio and yesterday he turned up and purchased the PB. It's been a brilliant car to own, out of the 5 Clios I've owned in the last 7 years I would say it's up there along with my old white...
I'm running 262bhp on my Clio that's supercharged. It's actually a year ago this weekend I picked it up from Chris at EFI Parts in Runcorn after it had the Adaptronic Ecu professionally installed and mapped. It's done 5000 miles in the year and I have to honestly say it's been absolutely no...
Cheers, didn't realise the thread was bumped and had replies. A couple of mild enquiries which came to nothing. If it doesn't go I'll just keep taking it out now and then until then. I'm now residing half hour away from it so it's more of a chore to get to nowadays.
Supercharged Petrol Blue 182 , mapped on Adaptronic by Chris at EFI Parts to 262bhp, 220ft/lbs full service history, 85k on the clocks, MOT till November. 16" OZ Superleggeras all with Michelin Pilot tyres, Spax Full coilover setup. Full conversion invoiced and documented in a detailed project...
Spotted a Racing Blue 55 plate 182 on the way home back into Southend going through Prittlewell about 20 minutes ago. It was either being loaded or unloaded from a National Recovery low loader
I'll be honest with the power I have (262bhp) I couldn't or wouldn't be able to tell the difference. If the firmware was mapped into a stock 182 I think you would, a bit like driving a 182 with the timing out then having it redone. Using the timing as a before and after reference.
Cheers! Really appreciate that, to think it's almost a year ago I started the supercharger conversion. Nowadays being a second car I forget half the time I own it!
Scoff is definitely finding his way round the OE ECU's, midst discussion last week he was saying he has updated software/firmware to give the FBW a better throttle response which is on mine.
You already know this but I'll definitely say it. You CANNOT go wrong with Scoff at EFI, his work and customer service is second to none. After a LONG day last Sunday with 27 cars on the rollers he found the time to spend another 2 hours remapping my supercharged Clio and ended up finishing at...
Danny I kinda get what you're saying, but remember it's all through the rev range. Peak power is at 6700rpm, peak torque is about 5700rpm, we're talking about having to be nigh on hitting the rev limit ALL the time to hit peak power, it just won't happen and not for long periods of time in any...
When we first went we stayed in a small town called Schuld and stayed at a family run hotel called Hotel Shaefer, about a 10-15 minute drive from the Ring. Another hotel was Hotel Rieder which was a 5 minute drive, and the Pistenklause in Nurburg where we stayed the last time we went. The BEST...
