Ok I slammed an Ashley Competition cat back system on my de-catted 172 and yeah it does sound nice but I hit 98dB static at Bedford the other day at circa 3000rpm and the car could be heard all the way around the west circuit from the pit lane :s
They set up a drive by noise test and for that...
Its 29th June now will pm everyone to make sure everyone has got the new date but other than that its all still on and times are gonna be same as last time with a couple of slight adjustments once I have confirmed numbers :)
Need to fill this thread with some progress.... But there hasn't been that much. Car seriously needs coilovers and some better brakes but had a fun outing at Bedford autodrome with the standard cheese brakes and mattress spring suspension lol
Lancaster insurance handle my MX5 as its a classic. The do it for peanuts its something daft like less than £200, Adrian flux do my other 3 cars on 3 separate policies and they was really good for my renewal. But just shop around and see what ya can find. Happy with them as my 200 is now less...
Just to add.... the reason I looked at a 200 was because both the salesman at Vauxhall when I was test driving a VXR 'burg and the salesman at Peugeot when I was looking at a RCZ thing said that the 200's were awesome cars to drive, they was in my opinion a total unbiased person as they couldn't...
In all honesty I have no regrets at buying mine, it is a year old and just hit the 12k mark.... faultless apart from my steering wheel is starting to melt. But will be sorted under warranty. I use my car like its been built for, it gets driven and used on track and the MPG is still quite good...
I know this might be a long shot but need to get the 172 Track car to garage for a few tweeks before track day at Bedford but can't get towbar on new car until Thursday and mechanic needs it for Wednesday night, so was wondering if anybody had a set of Trade plates and an hour free at all to...
No worries, just PM me ya PayPal address so I can make sure I send it to the right person.
Will sort order out once everyone has confirmed so no worries with Clio instead of scooby :)
Right guys sorry for the delay but we have a new date. 29th June. Anyone who has paid a deposit and can't make it please PM me and I can sort out a refund. We will keep the run times the same as last time until we have a list of people who can't make it and will try organize it around that...
Anyone recommend some decent front springs? Wanting to get some coilovers but as a temporary thing until funds allow was thinking on some stiffer springs, anyone know whats good? Been told cooksport?
Its for a 172 - 2002 non cup
Hey guys apologies for the delay, been a nightmare time trying to sort a weekend that I am free with the 3 bank holidays and to top it off my business partner broke his shoulder and had to have a bone graft so weekends have been a nightmare. Finally got a date so I have messaged Paul and as soon...
this is my dilema, my 172 is just a toy..... yes its MOT'd so may go on road at some point but currently the odd day out. Don't wanna blow a grand on KW but don't wanna waste money either
Mates just had his 182 serviced and been told by mechanic that its a chain driven engine....... never heard of one but before I tell him his mechanic is crazy, am I right that they was all belt driven?
Am trying to arrange another date but due to holiday, and bank holidays its looking like June unfortunately. Once I have my next rota come through I will be sorting a date out with Paul and will post it up. If anybody wants their deposits back just drop me a PM and will sort it out for them...
