I think at one point, Lumix was the go to camera for point and shoot but there has been a lot of advances and from what I've seen, Lumix haven't kept up.
As Niall says, wait for Brazo as he shoots Sony and he gets some superb images from them.
Available in the play store now. £339 for the 32GB version. Dispatched within 1-2 business days.

Still soft on the focus. Remember to use manual. Auto focus on the dark is useless. And use the live view (zoomed in) to get the focus sharp.
Also, the white balance looks odd. Too blue.
DanJenks - read the stickies on here for a guide on star trials and have a look on Flickr too.
Was that one long exposure or did you stack in the end? Can't see the exif data on my phone for some reason.
One thing I would say though, it looks like it is soft on focus on the pylon and the stars. Might be down to me being on my phone or it could have been a knocked tripod or focus dial.
I tend to use lowest f number and bring my iso to about 1600 as you will pick up more stars but depending where you are, it will bring out the light pollution too much so maybe max it at 800?
I don't think you an change the white balance numbers on the 550 (if you can, tell me how) so I just...
Have a look on Flickr at some of the exif info of shots you like/would like to try.
That's what I'll be doing this year as last year's attempts were (s)hit and miss
You done one exposure of 30 minutes? What settings were you using and on what camera?
I don't know anyone that does it that way, I imagine due to the risk of not have having a shot come out and wasting 30 minutes on it, when you could have got 60 good 30 second exposures.
Look forward to...
I just don't get why they wouldn't out a better battery in. If needs be, charge a bit more for the device. If they can do it with the LG then they should be able to at least match the battery with the new Nexus device as I imagine they will sell more units that have the Nexus name to it rather...
What I posted was sent to me by a mate. He usually get info that's pretty spot on with regards to specs, looks etc. Not sure where he gets it from though.
Without reading anything on that link, I imagine they will continue to make games for current gen consoles.
They only stopped making games for the PS2 last year iirc.
If they stop making them now for current gen then they are making a massive mistake as I imagine only about 40% of owners...
Looks like games will be around 40-50gb. Will take me a week if I were to download one!

Yeah if that is the case, then I'd be going for the 32gb too.
Still undecided on next phone though. Considering the new Sony then flashing it to get Vanilla Android on it. Will have to see how they get on with cracking them.

From what I've read, they are sacrificing the camera on the N5, again! Also, will only get the smaller battery, not the one that's currently on the LG.
There was a spec list leaked a few weeks ago, I'll see if can find it.
As said, bin the auto focus off. Look through live view and us that to get the image sharp (use the +/- button to zoom in on the screen and fine tune the focus)
Tripod and shutter release (or 2 second timer)
What camera are you using Rob? Were you using auto focus?
This is what I want to try nut I want to get a good mask and some sort of costume although I'm not sure I will manage to get it now. i have everything for lighting the scene up and a good place to shoot it.
Light Painting with LED's...
I've got an idea and half of what I need, I'm just not sure that I'll get the time to go out and find what else I need to do it, and have the time now.
Tricky theme...
Light room. Plenty of places to get it and it doesn't need cracking like photoshop as it never checks the code.
Adobe are doing a monthly payment system now so you get the software upgrades.
I've just downloaded the new photoshop and it is a lot further from photoshop 7 which I used a...
Hoped for a decent sunrise this morning. There wasn't one, but I did manage to fire off some long exposures.
This one is a 3 minute exposure, f/10, ISO 100. Sigma 10-20, Ten stop ND filter.
