In my opinion they cannot be beat pound for pound.. 35-40mpg is normal practice for a 1*2 quite easily!
Tax is a gripe for me (£245) insurance is a pain in the arse also, apart from that, they're amazing for what they cost!

My Exclusive has 117k on it, i bought it for £800.
The belts were done at 79k. No idea when that was time wise. Will i get them done again? Unless its free, highly unlikley!

If you drive a car because you want a car you own to have soul/character the Mk1 all day.
A 200 just lacks the old school hot-hatch 'flame' as it were, as good and capable as they are.
