ok mate cheers, i tested the alternator at the actual alternator and i get over 14v no problem, however at the battery there is only 12v and constantly dropping, also there is no live getting to the starter solenoid, so could there maybe be a short somewhere and its causing the alternator not to...

hi, what are the chances of the alternator and starter motor breaking at the exact same time? heres what happend, i went to start the car and the starter just clicked, so i bump started it and drove it home and to a few other places, and its flattend the battery, i charged the battery back up...

av bumped started it and it goes first time, would that do the same as rocking it? have you got a clio sport mate? would there be any chance you could have a quick look under your bonnet to see if yours is connected to anything please?
