Hankook V12s .. decent enough all rounders. Have used them for years. Mid-range price, but spot on IMO.
Those energy saver tyres offer less rolling resistance therefore less grip, and when you look into it, they save you something hilarious like 200 miles of petrol over 12,000... which is...
Welcome.
Black standard alloys will look utterly pony.
Wind deflectors are a fad I wish would go away. They look pony.
No need to upgrade speakers if you're upgrading the HU + fitting a sub.
Job done.
Good luck with the test. Don't become a statistic ! :o
Yup.
I like to be different. Plus I'd have been disappointed if it only put out 30hp, and if it was putting out 200, so what ? :approve:
Knowing the scoob is healthy and above book was far more interesting and useful !
Because I know who did the belts last .. I'm not worried about a lack of horses.
Plus, it's a Clio and there was hundreds of the ruddy things at SRR :o
FYI: It looks like yours .. but it's yellow.
Cheers ears :approve:
BlunderBus was more important on the rollers than this as there's nowt done engine wise.
Feels like a strong enough one anyway so it'll do unless I start being overtaken by milkfloats regularly :o
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
Mostly because whoever did it (Hi Mark) still has pauper levels of page counts.
There's only 16 pages so far.
If it's a 172, I think the correct size was 195/45/16 out the factory but 205s were fitted to 182s.
Whichever is cheapest, buy them.
Unless you're a trained race driver you'll never notice the difference !
Tyre sizes should ideally be the same front and rear on the Clios ! Very odd.
Also, I wouldn't run a set of track tyres up front and 'normal' tyres on the rear. Go for a full set of 4 all round, even if they're 'normal' tyres.
Re: dmallett's titanium ph1
No pics of the black ph1 on that day .. but yes - http://www.flickr.com/photos/evil_giraffes_rule/sets/72157614543702035/ :D
I went down with my friend +1 in mine .. can't remember who we met there - think it was just a couple of schoolmates, the blue ST next to...
It's a Pioneer thing that Brendan already has and wants rid of.
All you need is a sub - a decent enough HU that can cut bass to the speakers up front and you're away. Job done.
I was planning on removing the arch liners for track TBH :o
Bit of extra room and also a bit more air flow to the brakes !
Can't get it to scrub yet when in full combat roundabout attack mode... so we'll see...
So... I guess this is turning into a little project Rob could you move it please ? :o
Another 150 miles done today. That seat needs sorting out ASAFP !
45MPG easily achieved 65-70 on the m'way. Perfect !!
New clean proper plates are here - some paintwork to clean up before they can go on...
Buckmore must be done !
Lakeside Karting isn't bad ...
That indoor one looks like a gimmick - longest indoor one.. :S
Pick a date, mid-march or April .. make sure there's no event on at the place .. could even do an evening..... get people involved. No fannying about, JFDI !
~183Nm does seem about 10% out of spec..
Ask Scrooge politely to check the timing on it, Mark ?
Think all you'll need is the cam-cap end cover things....
