if it makes you feel better I did the same, I just used a Stanley knife to clear the old gasket. I also used a dab of loctite blue, it's like a gasket sealant that doesn't go off iirc.

Basically ive done my ph2 dash conversion, now need to sort the wiring out and looking for help/wiring diagrams/pin layouts for both the ph1 and ph2 so I can attempt to make it work. Anyone able to help? I really dont want to go down the glue method again (as on the guide) Cheers Dan

After cleaning out the big white plug in the fuse box and covering it in contact cleaner the issue seems to have stopped. It was that easy lol
