If done properly it will be so much more drivable than the 16v equivalent and it'l be lighter. This is a project so who knows how it'l end up, but at this point i'm aiming for 8v.
I'm looking to transplant from another renault, there are 2.2 lumps around but i gotta find out how difficult they would be to fit. I also want to keep it 8v.
If anyone has seen a turbo'd 8v RSI, i'd love to know a bit more!??!? As far as improving performance, i recently rebuilt the head, the head gasket went in style, turns out that the compression ratio is, for want of a better word, PANTS!!! i'm thinking that if i replace the pistons with those...
Excellent, all info is gold! will try and use it, my next thought was a turbo, but need to find out the weak points of the bottom end really. Lots of ideas at the moment. Appreciate all the help so far peeps.
Has anyone got one, had one, heard of em or otherwise?!? I have one but i'm having problems finding anyone who does any useful engine mods eg no cams available, no exhaust manifolds etc etc. I know it's only 8v but i like the drive and wanna keep the low end grunt. Anyone got any suggestions?!?
Let's see if anyone can tell me how much to ask for a shell? needs a front end respray? Also curious as to whether anybody is likely to buy this stuff if i do put it up?!?!
