Yeah I was just trying to compare standard to standard. An R26, whilst more expensive initially, will have more power, be lighter, infinitely better brakes etc etc.

I'm gutted! I wanted one as soon as I heard it was a 5 door. Tbh, I couldn't care less if it's a minger, the 200 was pony after the 197 but I still bought one. The lack of clutch pedal was the killer for me.
Tax and insurance is by the by. Any 3 door 2.0 petrol car would be the same. MPG is a joke for the performance but unless you're doing 15k a year or more, it's largely irrelevant.
I appreciate what you say about a higher grade car, but there are very few standard cars that are as good on track...

Car's looking good though. Spray that black fire proof mat at the back of the engine with a cheapo can of satin black. It will look brand new. Takes less than 30 seconds to do and makes a massive difference.
