Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
No idea what it is, he hated it so we were bored and stuck it on.
It won't be staying, that's for sure. Looks such a chav wagon right now.
Minus fitting a proper splitter, braided lines and a few other bits im good to go.
Glad your liking the brakes danny, obviously a massive improvement over the cheap s**t on there previously!
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
Today i fitted my bucket seat, first off greeted by this abortion of wiring.
No pics in the process, finished product.
Kept all the seats in so used a eye bolt through the original rear seat belt bolt in the back. Probably not the best way but its where ive...
Not got that engine in there yet?
I fitted a steering wheel that is smaller than my head, and i love having a silly small wheel again. It actually 3" smaller than standard diameter.
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
New headunit fitted, cheapest one i could find of course with aux. Nice to have a flush fitting radio which works!
Replaced the boot lock mechanism due it not locking for past 3 months! nice simple fix consisting of 3 bolts :)
Then i took a trip to see Rhys Beal...
Search it, people use a variety of parts like Laguna brackets etc.
ive driven my car in 30'c for about 10hours, I don't mind driving with the windows down though.
It can be done cheap, there's several cheaper ways to do it!
havent had air con in both my clios, can't say I miss it! Though I don't do many miles in it.
I'm not defending there mapping.
519 mapped my car in house, you'll struggle to find a car on fbw & 421s that runs as well. After all the comments on how they stall on standard Ecu etc.
Mine idles fine after about 30seconds, just sits slightly higher to start with then drives fine. Never had issues with it stalling etc like people seem to say.
ARP bolts, imo are worth it for the piece of mind/dealing with the higher rpm. Though my knowledge is limited.
Home made induction kit using ITG filter, 421 cams, 182 manifold, gypsy cat, ARP bolts, janspeed stealth exhaust, head work.
Think thats it :o
Its a decent engine to be fair! Let me know when you want to buy it
