Silly question possibly, but has the car's paint been protected with wax / sealant etc..?
A flimsy shelter would blow away or smack into the cars whereas a cover I would think would wear the edges off your paint in no time. They're not really designed to be used outdoors every day... well...
Yeah .. don't do that.
One of my 1kg furrballs took out one of my ~10kg floorstanders the other day. Straight over .. was UN-impressed.
Seems to be in full working order still, but they seem to (I f**king hope) have left it alone ever since.
Stupid furrballs.
Yes.
I've been trying to convince myself that I don't need to replace every hifi in the house for the last 2 days.
Those Dali speakers look sexy...
Damn you, old man !!
The horrible floor dwelling alien things in Duke Nukem 3D..
Playing that in the dark, headphones on, about 12 years old ..
scuttle scuttle ..... long pause............

*actual heart attack*
Just take them easy for a little while.. let them bed in a little ;) Don't go cranking it up for a little while. Not too much anyway !
I really want a sub, but my stupid tiny cardboard new build terraced neighbours may not agree :dapprove:
Welcome to proper audio ;)
What I mean, dearest technophobe, is that the sub is there to do the heavy stuff... leaving the other speakers to do everything else. Just like your car HU when you put a sub in, you then do the lowpass/highpass to ensure the right freqs are going to the right...
As you've got a sub, make sure you let the amp know it's got a sub, so the low stuff goes there and there only.
Glad you've changed your opinion of RS. They've always been spot on IME.
Surely the person you hit has some damage ? They're going to want to get it done through insurance so they get a courtesy car and an insurance approved / all above board, warranted repair ?
If by some miracle they don't .. then get it done yourself. Just hope that they don't come back with...
White smoke = fire. Is anything on fire ?
Steam = combustion of fuel+air (warm) meets cold air at the end of the tail pipe. This is normal.
However, if your water is going down or there are bubbles bubbling away in the coolant bottle under engine load, it's worth checking it out for HGF...
I'm guessing (no exif left ;) ) at 35 or 50mm prime at about f2.8 ?
Doesn't look like any external lighting .. just ambient. Defo a touch of PhotoShop in there though.
I'm probably completely wrong :o
Oh LOL !!
Who's bright idea was it to put the engine in the world's smallest engine bay haha.
PM Budgie.. he's breaking about 6 cars at the moment IIRC.
If it bumps easily, I'd bet my last penny it's the starter.
Have you tried the traditional method of smacking it with a hammer to get it to release ? (I may be talking nonsense...)
Infinity tyres are hilariously bad. They should be illegal. Moderately sub-par in the dry and horrifying in the wet.
Do yourself a favour and get them refurbed (at your Mums expense TBH..) and get some decent rubber on there ASAFP !!
