Thats exactly what i would do, i wouldnt even bother with a passenger bucket again as people dont seem to grasp harnesses ha I sprayed my ph1 satin black, used to touch up the spray every other week to keep it looking decent. Was easier than hoovier it lol

I think I took the flamer to far to use as my only car, though I don't use it for work etc. I just love the feel of the bucket seats and it being raw, I probably should resist or compromise it part way.

kenny s has done it i believe and i think chip has done on his mk1? not 100% though. Mine wasnt spaced properly, it was just kind of hanging there before i put it back together again. Cant be that hard though

Looks awesome, i love it! As for spacing the column, in my ph1 when the dash was out i hang the wheel about 50mm lower than its lowest setting and it felt like the perfect driving position. Could be worth trying

I never removed the cam cover on mine to do it, i will admit it was a pain in the ass!
