I can't remember whether it's the 182 or 197 that has the pretensioners on the buckle allowing you to remove the seatbelt. I've stripped too many clios lol!
No pretensioners on the rear. I'd simply leave the front buckle in rather than tart about with the light. I tried it with resistors and couldn't get it off. Found the best option to open up the dials and block the service and airbag lamp out.
All the abs system is still fitted and plugged in but due to different toothed rings front and rear the warning lights on and it doesn't operate. But yes still plugged in otherwise I wouldnt have the speedo!
Yes it runs ITBs but the brakes were shocking before the work and didnt change after. It's a good shout I'd imagine the vac pipe was replaced so unlikely to be leaking.
I believe from research its a 60/40 split with no abs. It's run no abs for 2 years and the first year the brakes were...
I would have thought that would cause a stiffer pedal due to lack of assistance? The pedal has no feel and travels nearly to the floor, the first half of travel its as light as the throttle. Pumping it does not improve them.
I'm all out of ideas here. This time last year the brakes on the misses 182 ( converted 1.4 with all sport brake setup front/rear ) were sharp and precise, even I was satisfied by their performance and I drive a 197 with CL pads.
Over a gradual time they have slowly got soft and spongy, so...
Fantastic effort by Beaulieu and enthusiasts, really enjoyed it.
FCS needs to take note as this show put theirs to shame, if only the venue was more central they would have something to worry about!
Re: CSS... Meet at 7.15am Lakeside!
New bottom end bearings and piston rings following my 'snap crackle pop' at Snet in march.
For the money the rebuild cost I'd like to run it in correctly thanks lol. Shall I leave 4am to get a head start!?
Re: CSS... Meet at 7.15am Lakeside!
Your not going to convoy at 90mph the whole way again like last year? I'm running my motor in still so can only do 60mph :(
Sorry to bump an old thread but thought I'd share my opinion.
Been playing this for a month long now and just completed it this evening. This is one seriously long game! It's a rare thing these days and reminds me of the days of MGS and the like. Overall really enjoyed this, for anyone who's...
The last thing I want to do is pressure wash it as the finish on the car at the moment is spotless. I don't really want to touch it at all lol.
I'll try some speed detailed this evening and hope it gets the worst of it off.
Okay someone give me some advice. I'll keep it quick. Detailed the car yesterday, washed, lime primed and hard waxed with dodo White diamond. Car looked spanking but made the vital error of leaving it on the drive for a could hours whilst I did the wheels and other details.
When I got it back...
Alot of complaints arising as to the quality of these Federals. I've had two fail on me within 300 miles of fitting, one with delaminating tread peeling away and another cracking on the shoulder. No kerbing or any other unusual abuse could have caused these.
Hear alot of the same thing on forums...
We all should have been infield with 106OC so it felt like we were actually at a track, rather than the carpark we got stuck in.
But what really took the biscuit was the 'official' campsite nextdoor. Pitching up tent in a swamp and then ripping your exhaust off on the rediculously oversized...
I was there but just as a spectator. Dunno who the c**t in the White 197 with cup stickers on the door was, but if your on here slow the f**k down before you kill someone. You can't drive for s**t!
Just aswell the 197 is so forgiving, especially when your ESP was blatently saving your life...
Right on my daily runner, a mk1 1.4 Clio 1995, it's had a constant problem with it running very hot. I'm talking about it sitting right below the red zone on the gauge. Changed thermostat, radiator, fan switch, heater matrix and water pump all to no joy. Compression test come back fine and it...
