Make sure you put the bolts back in or water will get in. And a bit of copper grease on the threads so you can get them back out if you ever need to refit.

I think prices for 1*2's are insane at the minute. People are just giving them away. Saw a 172 cup with recent belts for £1500 on pistonheads earlier today. Madness.

Mine used to do it when pulling up to junctions or reverse parking. If cam belt was done 25k ago then it rules that out.

Mmmm, if you've already changed throttle bodies twice it might be something else. Cam timing? Have you had the cambelt done recently?

Take off the throttle body, squirt it with carb cleaner but avoid completely soaking it, make sure you move the butterfly carefully and clean around it with a cloth/kitchen roll.

For wet conditions uniroyal rainsport are good. But it's a trade off. Good in the wet, floppy and squishy in the dry.

Can of worms. Tyres are subjective. I like Michelin PS3's or Hankook v12 if money's tight.

Agree. He seems like a bit of a "lad" (i.e f**king cocksucking, mouthbreathing, mong c**t) so a fine and some community service would be easily brushed off and would not make him, or others, stop and think. Given his previous attitude on facebook I think he'd laugh at community service.

Mega thread bump :0 Tom, where did you buy the battery terminals? I'm considering the gel battery from rapid online @£41. But the terminals are M5 as opposed to M6 on the varley and oddyssey batteries. I'm struggling to find any M5 online.

Had my cooksports fitted today and the mechanic mentioned that one of my track rod ends had quite a lot of play in it. Genuine track rod ends are £37 from Renault. I understand they are made for Renault by lemforder. Are these the correct ones for a 2005 clio 182 with cup suspension? ...

Just a quick update. Exhaust is now on. Decat is probably a bit loud but I can live with it. Stripped the rear out so it now got the rear wheel clearance of a tractor. Cooksports to go on this week. Still figuring out how to put pictures up on the new forum
