You can rank up quickly although you should have played Iron Banner as it was dropping loot like candy!

You can get some good gear from COE - the pulse and scout rifles aren't bad and you can get armour too. All up to 335. It's just very tedious - when the update launched I was doing each character up to 90K and beyond as you can get ghosts, class items and the 3 prison exclusive exotics up to 335...

Just use Destiny LFG or join a Facebook group like Fireteam Chat. Loads of players on there who should be able to help...although if you're not experience and/or a low light level, it might be a bit tricky. Just be honest and say you really appreciate the help in your messages and don't suck...
