Cheers mate. And I couldn't agree more, its a shame there aren't more around on the forum!
Haha nope no Miltek here  As its a 172 I have the spare wheel well in the back so the exhaust is a 182 lookalike cat-back system.
The sound is almost perfect for my needs - not too loud around...
Appreciate the kind words. The exhaust is a full engine-back system (has a 4-2-1 prototype exhaust manifold and a sports cat as well). Currently waiting for a solid Prima racing exhaust mount to be delivered so I can get it sitting central and level -the zip ties are failing!
,
Yeah unfortunately, but like most things you get what you pay for!
Thank you mate.
Thanks chap. I have a set of Cooksports ready to go on but im currently part way through sourcing all the parts for a complete suspension refresh (powerflex bushes all round, Whiteline rear arb, PMS solid...
Cheers, they are the TPI polarised wheel bolts. I picked mine up from ebay mate, was the cheapest place I found them -

Nipped out for a Sunday drive in the sunshine and decided to take a few quick snaps of the Clio -unfortunately had to take them with the Iphone!
And of course the obligatory trendline shot...
Thanks
Tony
I was just about to link this myself, you beat me to it! I have one fitted to mine, really was impressed when I had it fitted with Ktec 4-2-1 manifold and cat-back system. Would recommend but certainly isn't cheap if you go the full system.
Slightly cheaper here from Renault Wolverhampton -

Gutted I missed out on these. If anyone who has purchased a set has second thoughts or changes there mind then drop me a message as Ill certainly be interested in purchasing!
Next up on the to-do list was tackling the awfully clouded/scratched headlights. They truly were bad and looking at the front of the car was almost unpleasant so I got hold of an 3M polishing kit and come the weekend I cracked on with it.
Not too much to be said with this one. I followed the...
Couldn't agree more with this. Spent a good year upgrading and playing around with my 1.2 and in the end I don't regret it one bit. I spent a fair amount on it in the end, but the experience and the enjoyment I had out of it far outweighed the cost. I now understand the mk2 clio's a lot more and...
Once the car was back from the garage I decided it was best to get a little money back from the road tax and SORN it until it was going on the road December (not the best time but it was insurance renewal time). This gave me a couple of months with the car off the road and an opportunity to do...
First update is here! Now naturally the first thing I did after the 2+ hours drive home was get the car cleaned of all the bugs and crap that was picked up along the way. Now this actually gave me a rough idea of what marks/dents/scratches were on the bodywork of the car. Only notable marks were...
Although photos were taken of the following process I never continued to update this thread so Ill quickly summarise what's changed. I continued the build and fitted the following
- Team Heko wind deflectors
- New wiper arms front and rear
- New washer pump
- Boot net
- Xenon headlights
- Skoda...
Hi all and welcome to the project thread for my Clio 172 in Monaco Blue (Reg. DL03 YHM).
I purchased this car in August 2015 with a total of 71k on the clock. It came almost completely standard, with the only notable modification being the twin-exit exhaust system that was fitted at the time...
Little note on MPG. Had a sensible drive back to Kent from Birmingham with both my 172 and 1.2. Traffic was a bit stop start, but had a few stretches of clear motorway driving. 1.2 arrived back with an average MPG of 44.9 (pretty much where it usually sits), and the 172 averaged a surprising 45.9!
Hi all,
Im looking for some help identifying what exhaust I have on my 172. It is a complete cat-back system, all stainless steel and has twin exit pipes at the rear. I have looked for some kind of branding/stamp but have had no luck whatsoever. I have attached a couple of pictures below...
For the belt to be released and pulled out you need to hold it the correct way up, as if it was mounted in the car. This can be a real pain and it can take a long time before you get it in just the right spot so it allows the belt to be released. If/when it does come out make sure you secure it...
Alternatively, get yourself a set of eibach sportlines for the 1.2 - they'll give a 45-50mm drop, provide better (more comfortable) handling at speed and don't sacrifice ride quality (no worse than the standard springs over bumps I've found).
