Cars looking good mate, have you hit it with the DA yet? I need to give mine some tlc but here we are April already and I've not had time for anything other than give the car a quick wash. I'll have to buy a gazeebo soon cos mines stood in the sun all day!
Yeah but a vee is special.
I bought a china blue 106 GTI in 98, bloody lovely colour. My mum ran it for 3 years doing 60 miles a day after I went to Canada. Her previous 106 Xsi was passed to my sister!
Yep Dann I be at Blyton again, although we've no reason to be there as easy this year! And as you've left God's county it may be our first time to see Boris 2.0 too. Can't wait to hear that chavvy bov on track
You should join us on a Huntsman meet some time. Nice roads up there, well all except the last left turn. @Steve_RS2250 @leeds2592 @Sj1782 @RenaultVirgin
Now there's an idea! It seems like you've ploughed through this a quite a rate and made it look easy. Have you been keeping track of the hours spent on it and the spend so far? How easy/ hard would it be to make a list of parts required for the conversion for people to follow in future?
Epic...
Oh that 19 is very nice. When I stated work one of the maintenance guys bought one brand new just like that. He only sold it a few years back now, how I wish I'd contacted him about it.
Yep, me too [emoji23]
Our top 2 gaffer's are platers by trade so they think you can machine everything with just one tool. Yes we can interpolate bores, but it takes a lot longer which I've just proven to them now they've bought some tooling.

F that, I'm keeping my overtime to myself [emoji1]. Finally got some inserts for the biring bars I persuaded them to buy 2 months ago so that's saved 1.5 hours off every part. 2 week break down hasn't helped, and I'm expecting them to try and cancel my week off at easter.

They do refurb calipers but they ain't cheap. I recently bought their piston and seal kit and had it fitted at DDC renault specialist. Along with bleeding my abs pump, which took longer than sorting the sticking caliper and fitting the new parts, the caliper refurb cost me £150 all in.
