Yeah I've got DS2500 pads to fit on the front plus braided lines and some fluid from George on here. I wanted to run the car standard so that I see any differences that each parts making. Stripped all the rear out today and will be getting some plugs and leads at some point to sort the misfire...
@CallyTeee thanks for the uploads. Spotted me in the last few minutes of your last vid. It's just a pity that the flag dropped after you passed the Civic as I would've enjoyed seeing a bit more of you challenging me. Nice chatting to you afterwards mate. I enjoyed my first taste of a track day...
Wow that sounds like a huge amount of work from someone who is inexperienced. Even if you do have the odd mishap (lol) at least you learn from it. I'm getting stuck into mine shortly and hoping to get the car on the track very soon!
Was it filled and sprayed? I am making a track car so really am not fussed by the overall look of the car, however the thought of just popping a grommit in there isn't a happy thought.
Has anyone removed the aerial from their car completely and, if so, what did you use to fill or cover the remaining hole? Would like to see some pictures of the end result if possible please.
It's looking great. Had me laughing that you got your name stitched in capitals but for some reason not hers ha ha. Being the alpha male lol.
What size board did you require for making up the door cards with foamex? Really interested in doing this.
What did you use to make the door cards? The flocked dash looks brilliant against the painted interior shell. Looking good. Like the photo of your kid, get them hooked young ha ha.
Superb work over the last couple of weeks. Getting a lot more experience with these than you ever expected so maybe that's turned your crash into a positive (maybe??). Did you have to hire the hoist or did you have that anyway? Whats the difference between the weight of the standard battery...
I've just bought myself a 172 Cup for some fun on the track. I'll be interested to see how easy the Corbeau seats are to fit as I'll be buying some later this month. Keep us updated.
I agree that for the occasional track day, part worns would be a clever choice to keep costs down. Would you mind saying where you tend to source these from as 100-150 is a fair saving?
Enjoying reading through this thread and others. I've put a deposit down on a 172 cup which is going to be a track project for me. Cannot wait to get my hands on it. Got a little work to finish on the house then the Clio will be getting ripped out and some cash spent on some toys for it...
