bit of a bump but a big thanks to all who helped on this thread. i really appreciate it!
as of last saturday the exhaust now has a much better joint and is no where near as blowy (im not a big fan of how scorpion centre sections join, there must be a better way)
my mate turned up with a new...
slight update. i drove the car to work this morning and it was the best its been for a while. im still convinced that the poor exhaust joint isnt helping the misfire (my 1.4 is the same after a speedbump had a go, another thing to mess with) so in approx an hour or so that job on the 182 will be...
Yeah I think it's looking that way. Hopefully a bit of tinkering tomorrow will solve it. I doubt it very much. It's very strange as it just happened when I'd parked it up. If I didn't love it, I'd hate it
actually both. i have another inlet manifold that both sensors (that i believe are genuine) and i got a couple of cheap ones to try also.
now youve said that, ill get on the phone to renault in the 'morrow and get a couple priced up. did yours have similar symptoms as mine when they were...
that was another thing i did do actually. i got a new lambda for in the decat and tried swapping it with the pre-cat one to make sure and it didnt seem to change anything. whilst im under there tomorrow i think ill give them both a little clean and check the connections just to be sure.
the car...
ive changed the injectors to try and solve this as a mate that had a 172 said he had a similar issue. im hoping one of the new lot hasnt failed too but its another thing to check. if anything though it seems like its over fueling. on full throttle when it stutters it often lets out a big pop...
I posted a while back about a misfire/acceleration issue on my 182.
I've changed the leads, plugs, coil pack, both sensors on the inlet, cleaned everything in sight and now it's officially broken me as I changed the throttle body (for the sensor) in the rain.
It misfires on idle and on full...
my mates not long had a silver one... what a car! he let me drive it for a little bit and the things an absolute joy. most definitely on my list to own.
yours looks lovely, the blue is such a good colour. keep up the good work.
fly-eye tinting, a tow strap on a car thats never going to see a track (tow strap is usually attached by cable tie but thats optional), the list of funny stickers down the back. it seems to be a younger driver thing round my way.
worst of all. hid's in reflector headlamps!
So with the new lambda it idles better.
Took it down the road and it seems like when it's on more than like 1/4 throttle it's misfiring. Surely someone knows. Throttle pos sensor maybe?
I've managed to get it out! I went he man on it and it gave way. It was more difficult getting the clip up done. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to leave it running as dinner ready so there will be another post on this thread. It could be good, but knowing my luck it won't have done anything
my 182 developed a misfire a while back.
so to solve it, the leads and coil pack has been changed. grey sensor (side of the inlet) also changed.
all the spark plugs are clean and good still and the injectors are working fire.
my mates diagnostic reader says fault p0110 o2 sensor circuit 1 i...
ive done both of my cars. iv done the silver one silver and the rb one rb on the front. i think it gives it a cleaner look. as for the back the silver car has a carbon one with a colour coded button. its a nicer touch than the black plastic
yeah about 9ish i think. i didnt notice the plate i was admiring the car then heard the turbo lol. i only noticed a clioturbo sticker on the rear window. ill keep an eye out for you. we were in a red vx220 turbo
Like I originally said. I thought fitting it to the 1.4 would be simple and it was anything but. So I made the thread, whilst sat at my desk with neither car nor strut brace to hand, so in fact no, it was a lot less effort to write the post this time.
But thank you for your post, it's been most...
i bought an omp rear strut brace many moons ago for my 1.4 but it didnt fit the vmax coilovers so there it has sat.
iv got my 182 now so i was planning on fitting it to that but i just wanted to double check before hand that it actually fit.
many thankages
