The quality of the splitter is fantastic, like any item from Streamline really. :)
It must be fractionally slimmer than the K-Tec splitter, as I can get up my drive without scraping now! :D
Thanks for the kind comments, guys. Much appreciated. :)
Whenever I've parked down there I've thought it would be great to get a photo; today I happened to have my camera in the car. :D
It would be nice to get a few photos in there at night when it's completely clear, but sadly it closes when...
Hmm nice idea, but I can't see the lower grill plastic looking right in the fog light holes. I'm really happy with how my super duper ripspeed mesh looks lol! :)
Also, to update in here, today I decided to get the DA polisher out; it's been just over 3 months since it was last done, so it was...
...while I was out and about this afternoon.
The lighting in the underground car park seemed spot on for a photo!
As I had my camera with me, I thought I'd take the opportunity and share. :D
That's it, just one photo. :o
I previously had a K-Tec carbon splitter (wet-lay over fibreglass), but recently replaced it with the Streamline carbon (pre-preg) splitter.
The quality is fantastic, in my opinion. It's in two pieces too, left and right, so if you do damage it you can just replace one side. :)
They can take a...
Timed it right with the weather and gave the car a clean today. (It's now raining seriously heavy!)
Hopefully tomorrow if the weather is alright, I'll give the car a going over with the DA polisher again.
Tucked away in the garage clean for tonight though;
I need to start looking for a new head unit soon too, as mine is playing up a bit! :(
It's an expense I didn't want, but can't be helped I suppose; I've had the existing one for around 3-4 years now.
Thanks guys! It will have carbon wing mirrors some time soon.
I'll most likely order a few bits at a time. Overall however, they'll be rear diamond, rear bumper trim, bullets, mirrors and dash strips. :)
Completely blown away by the quality and finish of the Streamline stuff, really good imo.
Sorted. :D New carbon splitter and headlight washer blanks were sorted this afternoon.
Just need to leave the washer blanks to dry properly overnight before tidying up the silicone neatly around edges.
I'm really pleased with the meshed fog surrounds; I remember seeing it on Porkie's cup some time ago and thought I'd give it a try to tidy it up a little. :)
The headlight washer jet covers look to be a bit of nightmare to fit tbh; I'm assuming the bumper has to come off to get to the...
I'm not really a fan of the carbon aero catches. I looked at them before buying my black ones; compared to proper carbon they look quite cheap!
Just going to get the other streamline bits (bullets, rear bumper trim, rear diamond and mirrors) I think.
I made a start this morning on fitting the new carbon bits.
First up, was a trip to Halfords to get some black mesh and adhesive. Then, it was soon time to go blue peter on the fog light surrounds.
While the adhesive was drying, I went out and swapped over my diamond...
Hopefully I'll get a chance to fit some bits tomorrow. :)
I'd like to mesh the fog light surrounds though; it's a bit unsightly being able to see inside the bumper!
