How much oil do i need for an oil change? 5ltrs be enough?

mine did this briefly for a couple hours last week, havent driven it since. dont tend to through the week cos im always at work and in the van. i put it down to brakes needed to be changed, cos the front ones are deffo on way out. getting new ones fitted saturday so hopefully will stop it :)
