very nice fella.
getting parts from japan aint cheap - but sometimes the only way to go. i had the same problem witht the integra. sometimes i got away without paying customs, other times i didnt.
fair play to you for all the work youve done.
nah wasnt me yesterday chap.
cheers for the comments - mainly on the spoiler, looks a million times better with it now, back end doesnt look unfinished anymore.
today she's in getting a new bolster fitted under warrenty - only took renault 5 months to get hold of one!
since it was such a sunny day in the shire yesterday i decided to give both cars a clean.
they've been sat outside for a while under the trees so paintwork was pretty poor and the council decided to resurface the road outside my house, so there were plenty spots of tar.
The clio was washed...
i was stopped in my old clio - then also in the integra for a 3/4 size plate.
the law states that the letters and numbers have to be a certain height, have a set distance between each letter and number and have a border of a set value. providing you stick tho these rules they cant do anything...
might be some sort of cut out so if the system has a low pressure the compressor wont cut in.
in most (if not all) cases the refrigerant cools the compressor - if theres no gas in it you can risk overheating it and siezing it.
so im guessing no gas and it wont cut in - but like you say if it...
surely a car 2 years old shouldnt have any leaks though!
ive worked on domestic fridge systems that have ran for 15 years and never needed any gas - or is this just because its renault!
damp connectors for the injectors.
could be a number of things - but damp or wet is probably the main cause.
try a small bit of contact paste on each connector or wd40 and leave to dry for a minute and see if that helps any
another thing it could be is the coil pack - used to happen on my ph1, due to the coil pack being situated right above the exhaust manifold. especially when it was hot and if i was stuck in traffic
something to keep in mind if nothing else works
yeah along the lines of whats already been said,
could also be a rust plug top or anything like that. a place to start would be to pull the leads and spray wd40 in each plug cap - this removes moisture. do the same on the coil plug caps.
try that and see how it goes - if not its a process of...
yeah get it checked out by renault if its still under warrenty.
even a car that is 2 years old shouldnt need regassing - the system should be completly air tight untill the rust kicks in a few years down the line.
if im right its some sort of electrically activated clutch on the compressors...
yeah the click is the solenoid opening for the gas to pass over the evap.
the engine revs drop when the compressor cuts in due to the load, im sure something must be up and if the fuses are good then theres not a lot of self diagnosis you can do.
any trusted garage should be able to help you...
