These seem to be breeding round by me, this is a different one again and was seen at the MOT garage/car wash in parkfields. Looked very tidy indeed and was an 04 plate non cup
yeah saw one coming home from work the other day that over took me up the hatched area of the rain in the pissing rain. Some nutters own these cars but then thats going to be the case as they are bargain basement prices now
theres a black one on team dynamics I see quite often, a couple of 172 cups, a trophy, a ph1 to name but a few. Surprised they arent part of the community really because it must be a pain if you arent in regards to getting parts/servicing/advice.
thats me mate, just been to the physio and what must have been a pterodactyl crapped on the bonnet of the car so it looks filthy. Were you in the titanium and turned left?
I saw another titanium further down at the island at bilston by the morrisons, 54 plate again not sure if that was you
Still got this, so just for an update. Had the belts done at BTM on the 26th of last month, also he sorted out a knackered cat bolt for me which I have to replace with the proper stuff when I can.
Had a leaking N/S gearbox seal so I did that and filled up with 75w80 Millers TRX and now it shifts...
started first time for me today, although I did prime it for longer today as I was finding something in the car so the ignition was on for about 5 seconds or so
Seems I had a bargain on this stuff from where I bought it from, just under 20 quid delivered for the 5l of fully synth 75w80 stuff. Usual retail seems north of 40 quid with delivery!
I was told it could be the lambda sensor as mine sometimes does this. Haven't tried it from stone cold yet though so will do as I whipped in a new precat lambda I had on the shelf when I changed my box oil. Not a massive problem but annoying none the less, seems worse in warmer weather
it seems to do this after its been standing for a long time say over night. Its better now the belts have been done, I might put some new plugs in it. Been told it could be lambda sensor related though but its not a major issue for me at the moment
It doesn't cut out when running though and it...
thats the gl5 and gl4/gl4+ spec (read: minefield) though isnt it? I've read the TRX stuff is close to the elf stuff in spec. Its got some Total mineral in it at the moment which is probably not far off whatever elf do
Ive never had a problem sitting in traffic with a purple powerflex fitted and I also sit in it probably 20 minutes or more a day. Yes it vibrates a tiny bit more but its nothing major, my saxo 16v with new standard mounts and another purple powerflex vibrates a hell of a lot more. If anything I...
I didn't think so when it had just a filter and exhaust, it was only the mountune packages that made a viable difference that were quite pricey for the gains but yes same thing applies to the clios I guess. Just felt the difference was quite pronounced but a lot was spent to give it a driving...
nice as the ST is, it didnt feel great as standard. A mate of mine went through standard all the way to the MR200 package and it felt very quick indeed with that on it plus a diff but it cost a fortune for all that work
rip it off the tray.
Source where the oil leak is though, however they do accumulate oil from when people undo the oil filters and let the oil drain down the block.
That or gearbox seal leaks which are common
Yeah I've had a look at one now mate so I've seen how it works as I didn't really get what was going on, I'd pm'd you for a bit of advice too. Are my only options to renew the boot as it seems re-clipping it is out of the question?
Quick q about the gearbox driveshaft seal on the near side ( the one that bolts to the box with 3 bolts). The shaft passes through this and has a rubber/plastic doughnut, for want of a better word, on the end of it that fits into the smaller opening of the gaitor. The gaitor then has a clip on...
