I hope you didnt sell it with both side skirts falling off, Shagged coily platforms, Dodgy shock bolts, exhaust hanging off, flakey paint and brake dust infected wheels ;)
Car was in a right s**t state when I picked it back up lol.Still needs the rear bumper painting and a wheel refurb.
Just adding finishing touches to my engine bay, and figured a new oil cap would be benficial.
Now, Renault have supplied me this...
The cars a Ph1 172, and the oil cap does look different...
Plus after a quick attempt at fitting, it doesnt fit lol.
Is this wrong?
:boring:
If it wasn't for the fact I've got very little time off untill next year, you'd be doing it mate!
Getting it done locally because I really want them done ASAP! Well over due Is an understatement.
Ha yeah I did act fast as soon as I saw it!
price wise, comfortably under a grand. It's getting the works with the belts, water pump, dephaser etc.
just been doing bits and bobs to it so far. Will chuck up a progress thread soon :)
It used to be mine 4 years ago before I sold it to Giraffe.
I did indeed buy it! Saw it on eBay Saturday night, went and got it Sunday.
Needs TLC and belts mind.

For the price I got the other beam for, it worked out cheaper than buying the relevant parts to replace on the current one.
And, sods law I'd probably strip down the original beam to find the bearing journals knackered anyhow.
As a day to day comparison its not bad. It will comfortably sit at 30mph in 5th and pull, so the torque or lack of isnt the issue its made out to be.
Now I've got used to it (it took abit of time) I find it fairly comfortable for a daily, I've done approx 5k in this. Its also worth noting its...
Little update on the Saxon Martin...
MOT time.
I was quietly confident that it would pass without any major issues tbh. It failed... On 2 tyres! Which in my eyes is a win.
2 Tyres later and it now has 12 Months ticket :approve:
