No it's the same catch. Like I said if it's been replaced before it is just a check to make sure it's up to standard or they lubricate, etc. If it's not they'll let you know that it should do with being replaced.
Some dealers will just replace it though.

This one is a check to see if the user of the vehicle has maintained the catch, not a recall. They will replace it FOC if they recall wasn't done in 2008.
Because the police go around with the details of the vehicle at hand? Oh that's right they see a vehicle then run the plates.
They pull you over and you show them it's a wrap then it's fine. IME most traffic officers use common sense and will see the difference between a wrap and paint.
Like I said I would phone them or go see them if I done it, just to make sure. But from what I've read I wouldn't make it a number one priority.

I'm with Phil. I know you can adjust how they react but to design them to purposely be used is f**king stupid, the damper/spring would be clearly designed wrong if it was the case.
