My mrs is running a 2010 Mk3 1.5 dci 86 in sport tourer trim for the dog. I specifically made sure it was pre DPF.
Spent quite abit of money on it doing the cambelt etc, 4 tyres, front discs and pads are going to want doing and its now leaking water into the rear foot well so I have a door seal...
I assumed they were run flat. My mistake.
I 've been spoiled with an Elise for the last 5 years I guess.
Can't say I have tried it with the traction control off. Certainly goes very well.
Interesting you should get one of these Mark. I am two months/ 2000 miles into ownership of a 16 plate LCI auto. I have to say I am not gelling with it at all and will probably try and off load it before Christmas. The engine is a peach, it's monumentally quick, remarkably economical and...
Lets be honest nobody buys a 200 for the way it looks anyway... compared to the 197 its an ugly car so if you got a decent deal on it because a sales manager had suspect taste somewhere then well done mate.
Its all reversable anyway but I quite like the red blades with the black...if the wheels...
Love the Aston.
Have you thought about a classic car? I ran a series 3 landrover for abit and insurance was a few hundred quid... It did require abit of tlc but it was easy to work on... only issue is it probably uses more fuel than the Aston.
As a young lady with an Aston can't you mindfuck one...
Check the boot floor, if thats knackered it could easily be a write off.
Stupid place to park granted but it sounds like you may have been going abit fast and/or tailgating your mate, we've all done it, one of those things that you regret afterwards.
Especially when you do the 'industrial leaf blower impression' Kerb height side exit exhaust on nearside + a blip of the throttle = road sweeper matching gutter clearing abilities!
Mines got a lightweight VW Polo radiator, I had the nose cone off when I first got it and checked it all over no signs of any leaking and nothing on the garage floor! To be fair the last owner spent a fair amount of time and money on the engine so its pretty much uptogether.
Re: The car you wish you never sold... What were they?
Miss all of them in one way or another, would like to have kept my Lupo Gti -would still be worth that now!
Ph1 172 was a great car, Panda 100HP again brilliant, would own all of them again..
Its no cheaper.
The great thing about the 1*2 is they are great fun to drive yet still cheap to run, its not as if they do sub 20mpg to the gallon.
This is coming from a man that has a fully expensed company car yet still runs two private vehicles of his own!
When I had my ph1 I used it as my daily and for fun random drives.
I have a company car now and a westfield as a weekend toy, problem is with no screen etc it can only be used in ideal conditions, if I had a 1*2 as a weekend toy I would probably drive it in the evenings etc.
Looks tidy that mate, worth spending the time keeping on top of the paint work will help with the resale value no end. I really rate the Collinite, on my 2nd tin now!
I ve got the Westfield insured with them, they didn't even charge me today to change the plate which is a refreshing change.
I have used bell for the last couple of years on the daily, never had any complaints with them either and they are spot on about adding temporary cars on as well...
More than likely, im easy to spot its the only one round here, silver A3's on the other hand....!
Only if there was rust to cover up ;) and LOL @ beaded seat covers!
You need to be quicker mate its sold, you probably only wanted it to sniff the seat!
I think on a K plate its one of the last of the 190's, its quite tidy actually I was surprised for the money even more so when I saw the history!
Happy New year everybody!
Im due to start a new job at some point in January which as part of the package includes a company car, so the 100hp had to go, I advertised it and within 12 hrs I had taken a deposit on it, new owner is due to collect mid Jan which gives me time to take the plate off...
