We will be buying a new chassis identical the the bent one as they are still available lol.. Even after all these years! We would like to re-use the current one, but its really bent and fairly old now so it will be rusting from inside out. So for piece of mind we are just going to buy new so it...
Great stuff! What power will that have then? I was hoping to up the power of this to around 140bhp seing as its getting rebuilt! Currently it was at 125-130bhp (big valve sprint spec with 4-2-1 exhaust and Dellorto 40 carbs).
Here is a vid of another lotus 7 Twincam identical to ours, just to share what driving it was like.. Although not abroad :( lol.
Just a little update to say all is still very slowly moving on. Been trying to sort best option with this expensive engine! Since last update we've have the engine...
With the Weitecs set to a respectable hight (not uber low as they are now) would they not do the job as good as OEM setup with aftermarket springs? I can't even remember what the OEM setup is like too drive mind, been around 3years since I drove a standard setup 1*2!

Update.
Purchased some new rear pads as current ones were due to be changed. Got these from G172 of here, couldn't recommend buying brakes from him enough! Great price and arrived in no time ;)

So I don't do track days, possibly one a year but that's all I tend to get around too doing tbh. I mainly drive my 182 up roads like Hartside.
At the moment my spec is
- Weitec Coilovers
- 15" OZ Ultra's
- GoodyearEagle F1 tyres 195/45
- Goodridge braided lines
- Grooved front disks / OEM rear...
Speed bumps wernt a problem until added spacers.. Think there both 5mm too big tbh.. Might have to change to 20mm/10mm spacers to resolve the rubbing :S although I don't want too lol.
tyres are 195/45's
Yea there 15"s (et38) spaced out 25mm/15mm Front/Rear. It's on Weitech Coilovers with adjusters out on rear and ~90% coiled down on the front.
Thanks fellas :)
