Well I ventured out today on the hunt for the Ashgill force waterfall. Was a great day out, weather was kind for a change. Note to self - I WONT be taking the dog again as he's too much of a pain in the ass when on my own (has to be kept on lead). Please criticise as I want to improve my images...

Rally lights ruin it as they look so dated compared to the rest of the car. Don't go at all. Looks like a s**t alien.

Infact just been looking at the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM as an alternative option.. Now im usually abit anal & like to stick to canon only, but this seems quite good. Anybody used it?

Thanks, canon 50d body with a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens. But unfortunalty I can't remember the settings :( (iirc they were something like aperture 1.8-2.2, 1/30-1/50 shutter speed, iso 320-500)

Cheers. I guess I could keep the prime 50mm as there not exactly an expensive lens. Do you think the 17-55 and my current 10-22 will hold there money well?

Looking at buying the canon 17-55 f2.8 ..does anyone have any experience with this lens? Worth the money? It would be replacing my prime 50mm f1.8. Cheers.

Just a quick one.. First paid job shooting in a club tonight.. Equipment - 50d - 10-22mm - off camera jessops flash. What settings do you guys recomend? Especially the flash settings? Ino it heavily depends on how well lit the club is etc but just to get an idea and to compare your setting...

I was certainly frustrated. I still quite like it though, but definatley has potential. I'm gona head there again tomorrow (weather permiting) and try again.

Well 50d arrived n what a stunning camera! Just had to go buy a CF card as it totally slipped my mind it doesn't take SD! Also bought a Nd filter & square adaptor etc. So now I'm just waiting on my flash & sync cord to arrive and il be entering a new relm of photography! I can't wait so excited...
