Trust me, it didn't just leave the turbo spooling. Turbos spin at such high rpms that they will still spin after an engine stops. Especially roller bearing turbos, they can spin for minutes!
That has nothing to do with a turbo timer ;)
A turbo timer leaves the engine running for X amount of time after turning the ignition off. Supposedly to cool it all down. They're a gimmick, just drive slowly 5/10 minutes before turning your car off, who ever heard of sitting still with an engine running cooling it down?
Is the switch for a rear fog?
Those wheel lips are corroded, they'll need refurbishing mate.
Those other cables could be from old turbo timers, toll card readers etc.
They offered to have it back up there and look at it, but it's 2 hours to Newcastle on a good run, yet alone limping it there. Jurgen said they have 2 MAFs.
Out of curiosity I rang Nissan up for a price, £950 for the 2 and a 3 week wait. My discount brought it to about £850, but sod that...
Cheers lads.
The plan today was simple, take the MAFs off, see how clean they are, take lids off and see if the circuit board solder had dried out, attempt to resolder. I kind of made everything worse. Due to the design of the ARC induction box, one MAF isn't accessible without ripping lots of...
TBH, I'd sooner f**k 'em off than retrofit to a set that are just as old, but that requires an Apexi PFC D-Jetro, mapping etc. Plus it makes the consult cable redundant lol.
Other option is one of the Infinitis, maybe the Q45, seems a popular choice for newer MAFs. Or Nismos, or second hand...
Those of you who know me, will know I'm having issues with an intermittent fault. Got a consult cable through today, and after about 4 hours of finding a program that would work on my mac through parallels, then making the computer talk to the ECU, I got this...
Could do with borrowing 2...
