Its been in my car for the last 5 years now haha! does the job though, its not as good as some of the real expensive units available, but works good enough for me.
At the moment I am still using the JC5 box, until I decide to go VAG or meg box. But I've got a digital Speedo which does everything with after market sensors, I have two magnets on the driveshaft with the sensor mounted to the gearbox with a bracket, and then its all setup on the software for...
I don't really update much on here anymore, but not really done too much on this for a while as savings are being eaten up by our wedding and honeymoon next year.
Anyway The tiger and all the yellow is going, took me awhile to find a replacement ally bonnet, but one popped up so I raced up to...
6AN Teflon lines all the way mate, itswhat I run, never had a problem with them, just remember the AN fittings are slightly different for telfon lines.
Excellent start to the project @Mash.
Always wish I used a meg gearbox on mine as ive gone through a few jc5 boxes haha.
For fuel pump, Id use a uprated pump in the sender unit to a swirl pot then boch 044 to the rail with a FPR.
That's the setup I use and its been great (Y)
Looking forward...
Not updated this in a long time, maybe I should? ha
@chris79 not had the car running in while as its in pieces, the two U clamps which hold the housing on where loose so I tightened them down, but still had a slight smell of fumes when on boost... I think the actually turbo could be loose on...
I know its so close, I relocated the brake fluid reservoir to behind the bulkhead, and used some heat shield to protect the brake lines and master cylinder, not boiled my fluid as of yet but its always in the back of my mind.
Will be keeping an eye on the pedal box you've ordered, i've been playing with the idea of fitting one as the downpipe sits so close to the master cylinder. But will have to wait until I decide to do the vag or r26 gearbox conversion.
Looking forward to updates.
No worries buddy, its not the best thread (excuse the tiger sprayed under the bonnet, its long gone now haha), but it shows how easy it is to mount, I did use the 172 block, but it doesn't make a difference engine mount wise.
For mounting the jc5 box to the 225 block, I think some holes on the...
Excellent thread, will be good to see some updates about the 225 engine conversion. All engine mounts are the same buddy, check my build thread... boosted clios FTW!
Am I right in thinking there should be two rubber mounts located around the mounting holes on the front subframe as circled below?
As I am missing one, does anyone know a part number?
Cheers.
@chris79 Good choice, I really rate adaptronic ecu, and Andy at Clioturbo is great! he has supplied me with loads of parts and knowledge over the years! his work is great too!
Getting rid of the aircon will create some space, I may suggest an Epas conversion too to get rid of the power steering...
@chris79 What a clean example of a ph1! looks great.
Only advice I could give really would be take your time and do your research into what parts work best.
Id suggest powerflex bushes on the front and maybe a set of coilovers or a good set of springs too!
Have you thought about what ecu you...
