So i sold my 1.2 clio, and got a civic VTI-S. Hated it, didnt like having to drive the nuts off it to get it to move anywhere SO.....
Got offered good money for the civic, and wanted something that you didnt need to drive the nuts off for it to go anywhere.
Civic was sold last night, and...
because if the car is stolen and there is no sign of break in....which there wouldnt be if a key was used....then the insurance will not cover you. they wont even look into who's fault it was....they will simply say that the key was used so its your own fault.
thats why it invalidates...
Why....if you had nearly 5k of audio stuff in the car would you have the same opinion. In this day and age its a disgrace that one key should open another car - and at the end of the day it invalidates people's insurance....
so smoothing them is not OTT at all...just keeping my insurance valid
basically my doors were opend by his key, and vice versa.
ring and complain to Renault, the more the merrier - get them off their ass and do something about it
well....small change to car...but major problem found.
me and fester_s off the site decided about 4 weeks ago while washing the cars to try and open each others cars......we were horrified when we realised that actually his key opened my car and vice versa...so on the phone to renault...

is the steering wheel fully down too?!
anyway mate, looks awesome...would love to do this to mine....but dont think i could sell the 1/2 leather interior!
love it!! hows the driving position? always get the impression that i wouldnt be able to see over the steering wheel...seats seem so low...
lol im over 6 foot....so how you find it?
My 1.2 16v clutch sits very high at the pedal - like above the brake pedal level....and going into and out of gear is somewhat hard at times
so i think i need a new clutch!
my granda is a mechanic, but any idea where i can get a 1/2 decent clutch for my motor at a good price??
Cheers
Ross
lol thanks martin! well rear FK springs should be coming from Russ@Gasperformance sometime this week
big shout out to him for sorting me out and at an excellent price! good guy to work with and very helpful!!
yea 7j and they are the original oz anthracite colour...now discontiuned!!! had my painter running around like a mad man trying to get the colour code!
go for base coat, make sure your primer is 2k primer....let it dry then sand it down wit 1500 grit till its smooth
at this point make sure the primer is covering all parts of the tailgate - if nto re do it and re sand
then leave to dry for a few days
then fire the base coat on, and leave...
no, they need sanded down due to being textured...but once this is done you can use high build primer and it wil be fine!
i done it myself on a bumper, and had a bodyshop colour code mine and its perfect!
