Haha! It was more like £900/month with a smallish deposit when i first looked. Probably down to £600/month now I bet. £317 sounds good for the cooking models
Thanks for your input. My existing exhaust hangs low on the passenger side hence the interest in hangers. In fact it bugs me in just about every Clio picture I see, every time I see a perfectly fitted exhaust it fills me with joy. Sadly a rare feeling!
Bizarre, I was just going to ask whether it was a 2.5 and quoted your message.. now stating it's a 2.5 :D. I'm happy to buy a new one tbh, £390 delivered isn't too bad
Epic car, glad people are buying these. I seriously looked into getting one but the finance deals were poor when it was first on sale. I assume they are better now with residual values looking clearer?
Just a thought, I saw the 'show us your first car' thread yesterday for the first time and it reminded me of a forum back on the old escortevolution website purely for posting threads with pictures of your crashed car. The pictures ranged from the boring scraped bumpers or dented doors to proper...
Looking on the website the only two Ktec 2.25 systems are the Super Quiet Stealth system and the Janspeed system. Only the Janspeed comes unsilenced. Are you saying get the Janspeed? Any idea on hangers, I see you can get standard ones from the Ktec website too unless it's cheaper to order them...
After some more reading I am leaning to towards the Janspeed Supersports. Main reasons are that it is the cheapest, I presume lighter than the RS192 and recommended by quite a few people reading previous threads (keeping the original cat). I've looked at hangers too and I'm guessing I'll have to...
Hi all
I have spoken about this with a few people on the forum already but I'm still not sure of what to do. My car is going into Gary Burnett's on the 27th of March and it needs quite a lot doing. I have decided to get a new exhaust as mine is on the original and it is blowing quite a bit...
That's ok, it depends how deep you want to go into cleaning/valeting/detailing. You can remove swirls with just a good clean, clay and polish by hand and then add some protetion with a wax including liquid waxes. I use Autoglym Super Resin Polish, nothing special but it does the job applied with...
Best to just reiterate the basics.. Two buckets for washing, lambswool mitts (I use two, one for the cleaner half of the car and one for everywhere else), drying with a large soft microfibre cloth rather than a chamois, clay bar decontamination before using any sort of polish (I use the simple...
Yep multi story would have been ideal but I don’t live that close to one. One of these days I’ll actually buy a decent camera, I haven’t owned one for years. Smartphones do the job in 90% or situations and are so easy to use, share and edit with.
Cheers dude! Think I’ve managed to get most of the swirls out, my investigations whilst washing suggest the paint had never been decontaminated in 13 years. There’s an area on the bonnet from someone presumably using a sponge made out of sandpaper that I can’t fix sadly, apart from that I’m...
Well even today the use of electic setups are frowned upon by purists, so 15 years ago I think it would have been sacrilege to use anything other than hydraulic (I'm sure some were still crying out at driver's cars having power steering in the first place!). I've driven a couple of cars with...
Why don't you buy another one and keep the Z4? That's what I did, they make the perfect daily IMO. If you get a high ish mileage well sorted one it'd cost peanuts to buy and peanuts to run.
I'm with you on the uniroyals, if the boot fits it fits. When I saw that the garage had put a set on at first I was a bit disappointed as I prefer to choose my own tyres. But, for the car and it's use they are perfectly suitable and such good value. I had 4 fitted to my partners Toyota Celica...
Well yes they don't help. Do they do MPSS's in Clio sizes? If not I saw a good deal on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric (not the new one), I've never had them on a car but heard good things
Good to hear a well balanced argument for them, I drove the EP3 a couple of times but despite really enjoying it I couldn't get over the looks and image. It is funny you mention that the Clio beats the EP3 on track because I've had an earful from my EP3 owning neighbour saying the opposite. I...
It's going to be a while until I put my own amateur detailing skills to the test so this is the best I can do for now. The Clio sitting in it's natural habitat, on a twisty road and covered in filth.
Oh and this is the cleanest she's ever been in my ownership:
Hmm I'll keep it in mind, I wonder what the cost/benefit would be of a car this value? I'll definitely do the highest level of finish I can achieve (hand polish only, but I'm half decent at claying/polishing/waxing) and see how it looks from there.
I watched a youtube video a while back...
