Sorry just seen Sams post ... The mounting issue wasn't too bad the foot plates were angled and sat nice and flush really was impressed and the holes are m10 so a little wider but yeh the idea of this one was big washers and a pissy nut that's why I decided to make under car plates for the money...
It's steel don't know what grade but its not bad atall for the money the floor mountings are ideal It's m10 holes... I drilled 10mm holes " the only part not included that I made were some brackets for the underside of the car" I used an oxyacetylene torch and cut 4 brackets out of 5mm thick...
I've got one of them ebay 150 quid cages its surprisingly really good it fitted perfect all the angles are sound as.... I'm not competing in my car I just wanted something for the odd track day etc etc and for the money it was excellent.... Now I prepare my self to get slated for saying this lol

scorpion exhausts are good they build the saxsport and pusport group n exhaust a system witch i cant rate highly enough. the build and fit were perfect. i dont know how loud it would be though but itll deffo be better than powerflow s**t
Hi there im about to fit a short shift selector and ive noticed on my phase 1 172 there is a cable for the lift mech attached to the lift collar... however on the new one there is no where for the cable to attach to... sorry for poor explaining any one got any info or ideas ? any help would be...

Hi there was just looking through the guides section and cant find one, ill be fitting a quick shift gear selector and a linkage. I was wondering if any one had a guide? or had any advice on problems they had along the way and solutions. Thought id ask now rather than later. Cheers :)

my phase 1 at the moment has a similar issue the throttle cable is loose and is sticking open at 2k... i know this as when it does it if i lift the accelerator pedal up it goes back down.... also look at your maf sensor as i left this unplugged accidentally once after doing the plugs and it...

No this noise is more severe than old oil, old oil usally is more top end tappety... If its not the oil level I'd go along lines of worn engine components what mileage are you on? Could be so many things could be worn cams worn engine bearings worn cambelt pully give Fred or dan a message on...
Check ur maf sensor mine usto over rev as I accidentally left it unplugged ones also if its the cable throttle moe like mine check ur icv carb cleaner it all and see what happens
