As already said a damaged boot floor is usually a write-off. See what damage has occured, let the guy know how much it'll be to fix and then see what he wants to do. If it's too much he'll go through the insurance, if he pays for it then win win.

CLCM are proper, they won't be at fault. Tyres have an uneven amount of tread? Had this recently when changing to a different set of wheels. Now pulls to the right... Happened to my friend who I swapped with, his pulls to the left. No idea what has caused it or if it's a coincidence!
