k-tec do a 182 manifold which is a bolt on replacement for the original. bit pricey but worth a look.

ive got 17's on my mk1 172, a lot of people advise against them though. never had any rubbing when it wasnt lowered - however now half the wheel arch linings have had to be removed now its lowered, easy enough job with a stanley knife! as for the offset not too sure - just phone up a wheel...
