Had the bonnet scoop re painted in red as previous owner had tried to Refurb it but obviously it never come out very good so they covered it in carbon fibre which I didn't like at all.
So I was going to do the interior piano black and get it done professionally but when I went to show the painter I know he said it was too much work in the prep to make it cheap enough due to how much the previous owner had sanded it down and the marks were deep and visible ! So I found on eBay...
Lol I was originally looking at a grey one but I was sold so went to look at this. The red has come up great and always fancied owning a red car.
Yeah the whine is definitely addictive.
Yeah definitely thinking of going back to silver think it will look much better and original.
They are a good buy ! You need to drive one!!
Yeah defo need to go back silver. Yeah I don't like the exhaust tips trying to find some cheap original ones.
So I have bought one of these to use during the winter and have myself a little project. Got it last Saturday from Oxford was really cheap but it does need a few things doing to it to tidy it up a little bit, which I'm hoping to do.
Plans are to tidy it up but keep costs down:
- Wheel Refurb...
Took a trip to BMW again to pick up a part that had been bugging me ever since I bought the car, the heater relocation! Hated the look of it just being pushed in.
Thanks mate, yeah always planned to just keep it nice and clean and looking original.
I'd go for some I reckon they would look nice, can't really go wrong with CSLs.
So woke up this morning with a stinking hangover [emoji23] decided I'd do something productive and give the car a clean ! Also gave it a wax just used autoglym HD wax, always works well for me. Also got some new exhaust tips from BMW was the one thing at that rear that needed changing and had...
Yeah I couldn't be bothered with the hassle or having to have the plate in the window. Does look better though :(
Thanks mate ! Oh sounds nice mate what kind of bits you got ? Have you got a thread anywhere ?
Small update
Cleaned all under the seats, can't believe how easy the seats come out compared to in my old Renault Clio
Was nasty !!
Clean :)
Fitted a new front badge
Fitted a new front plate as the old one was disgusting
I do like it without a plate though ! But couldn't...
That's how they should actually be, on an m3 they are painted the body colour. I was going to do them like that but just seemed more hassle to do them like that.
That's fine mate, the OEM wheels looked nice just they were battered and corroded so rather than get them sprayed I just thought I'd get new wheels as I have always wanted these wheels since getting the car.
Yeah I am really happy with the interior nothing I would change, just need to get the...
Thanks mate. Nope they are 19" wanted the bigger ones as I think they look better than 18". Once lowered should look even better !!
I got these from BM Autosport. All in all with tyres, new badges, delivery and fitting just over £1000.
Thanks mate, definitely the look I'm going for !!
Yeah it's a really good unit definitely work the money! Got mine for just below £300, my heater controls are just resting in place at the minute, never really been much of an issue as it just has a slight space at the bottom. It is something I...
Ordered some csl wheels they arrived today, so went and got tyres fitted and then put on the car, pics below:
Thinking I made need to get some eibachs to get rid of the arch gap a bit.
Also booked in for paint on Monday, front and back bumper respray and some rust is being...
FINALLY managed to give it a clean. With the dark nights and busy weekends not been able to clean it. Fell back in love after the clean !! Polished the mirrors and headlights again ! And re done the leather seats inside !
DIRT!!
Cleaned
Few from when I first had it:
I have done them myself. Hoping to give them a polish next week haven't had change to go over them with the DA. They've come out ok not as good as a paint shop. If I'm not happy I might take them to the paint shop in the summer.
M3 mirrors are now painted and fitted :) very pleased with how they look ! Excuse how dirty the car is, hopefully will give it a clean the weekend and take some better pictures.
Yeah love mine to atm. Tbh I went from a 1.8 compact before that a 1.6 diesel then a 1.2 Clio. So for me it feels fast ! The speed is plenty for me atm. Don't think I'd get insured on anything faster. It does love oil like you say. Mines around 25MPG mainly city driving though. Have to agree for...
