Yeah mate I did windows memory test from the windows 7 boot cd and it didn't seem to throw any errors although it soon started up startup repair I've just installed the other stick of ram and put the plate back on I'm going to try and stress test it some how hmmm defeat the HDD maybe something...

Don't worry about it lol going well so far when I first finished installing windows and it says "Preparing Desktop for First Time Use" it restarted there thought it was odd but now it's sailed straight through I'm trying to really push it to make it restart again

Flol well apparently windows 7 only installs AHCI if its set in the bios I'm not formatting I shall report back with my findings ;) so we reckon this could be the problem?
