fred you saying an oil change and engine flush/top end treatment will this stop the knocking completetly or will just quite it?

I think my dephaser pulley is on its way, its only just started knocking slightly when cold. Will i have to get this replaced asap? Will the pulley fall apart cause im sure i read an old thread saying its verging on the impossible to fall apart cheers

No not really, everything is the same apart from what i can only describe as a grinding noise.
