Well the 10 year old HP now has a cloned 250gb evo 860 it's staggering just how much of a difference it makes [emoji41]

The 860 is speaking to me but my tightness says no it's almost a quarter of what the laptop cost in 2013 although its still a fraction of what a surface would cost [emoji23]

Yes hybrid HDD are supposedly best of both worlds but in reality 8gb isn't really sufficient to cache enough to help you

You couldn't the 8gb flash storage is built into the 1tb hdd(SSHD)

To me that sounds like it's got a hybrid drive which cache parts of the system on a small solid state chip to boost speed that's the theroy of them but they still not as good as a SSD drive that's what I've been lead to understand No reason why you couldn't upgrade it
