My dad aint got a clue, he uses my buckets for plaster, my sponges for window cills, got a bucket full of stuff and he wouldnt have a clue, suppose its jsut their generation, when they were younger if you had a car you was a lucky guy, if it had 4 wheels and moved they were prob happy, paintwork...
Yeh suppose that could be true, I wasn't exactly propa going for it, was in lowish revs but still expected a bit of pull, maybe I was just being a bit naive to think it would blitz it without any effort.
Btw if this thread is making me sound like some young lad scooting about the place like a...
Clios have a shift up light?
Im learning more about these cars every day lol, crammed with gadgetery
Hit the limiter at 7k last night after about 5 minutes of driving, wasn't a cold start as used the car couple of hoursd before and obviously the weather was red hot but presume that was the...
From a standing start i.e lights after 50 metres he was no where close, just on the move it didnt seem to pull like it should.
I wasn't reving the tits of it, just was expecting the pull ion the lwoer revs that ive been getting the few days prior, hopefully things will improve when the weather...
Think im just going to burn this petrol off as quick as possible because its going to be in the back of my head now, aircon on full for the next 2 days me thinks lol
So you think it is the fuel then?
Yeh mate, good 20 mile of country roads going down, it just say coming out a roundabout...
And it just didn't feel as quick, I've only had it since Sunday and everytime ive put my foot down it's given me a big grin but last night it just seemed very sluggish, I put standard unleaded in yesterday morning, as I was doing it I noticed the 98 ron recomended.
Now I aint one to be conned...
Im doing my first detail at the weekend, the lad I bought the car off, his dad went and gave me all his sons stuff, two buckets full of wxes, clays, polishes, all sorts, all german imported stuff
Have I got it right... That its rinse, wash, clay, wash, polish, wax?
Are you not going to get charged for a second mot though if you take the car out then take it back again? Where as with them they'll pass it once they've put the discs on?
Turns out I was wrong then, I thought sportlines were the lesser of the two, quite pleased that i've got the better option with the added bonus of lower ride height
Services need to be every year regardless of mileage, you could do 4k a year and it's going to need an oil change as stop start driving to work or whatever is worse for the engine than 15k a year on the motorway.
Only time you'd do less than yearly is if your mileage meant it was due one...
Dont touch a chip, not good for a car imo, re-maps from some where recomended might improve your torque at low range a bit but doubht you're going to get any more bhp, what you got to remember is the 182 is a car sold as a sports version so renault will get everything they can from an engine...
See now that what you've psoted makes out the sportlines are the more track dedicated spring but what ive read else where says different
@shadowsun, nah mate you shouldn't have any problems with 45mm, I was lowered on 40mm with my corsa which had a splitter on the front also, apart from...
Not softer no, they're more racing focused, so prob firmer if anything, think sportlines sacrifice a bit of performance for the fact they look better.
I might be talking pish though mate, but thats how ive interpreted what I read
10mm either side wouldnt do any harm, if anything they'll improve it, go much bigger and you get understeer issues I think and problems with slow speed turning.
Is that a photoshop up there or an actual picture? As they dont look real lol, just think white doesn't go with blue, white and black...
As I understand it prolines focus on their performance with very little lowering
Sportlines still have a focus on performance but give a better visual look
Just watch you dont get carried away with the white, stuff like that can look over done when the wheels are the same colour aswell, before you know it you're spraying anything you can get your hands on white
